Nutrition & weight loss
At Left Coast Fitness, we are focused on your long-term health—not shortcuts or the quick fix. Our approach to nutrition is designed to help you lose weight safely, correctly, and permanently. Your success comes through education. Once you understand your relationship with food and your body, you're much more likely to reach optimal levels of health. No dieting, just proper human nutrition. Understanding the difference between whole foods and processed foods, organic versus non-organic, and avoiding inflammatory products is the goal of our program. We practice what we preach… and it works!
Strength & conditioning
Strength and conditioning not only help in achieving specific fitness goals but also support everyday activities, making tasks like lifting groceries or climbing stairs easier and safer. Additionally, it can contribute to weight management, bone density, and overall well-being. Incorporating strength and conditioning exercises into a weekly routine can lead to noticeable improvements in strength, energy levels, and overall fitness, making it an essential component of a healthy lifestyle for individuals of all ages and fitness levels.
Mobility
The body’s ability to move fluidly is a key factor in longevity. With technological advancements over the past 50+ years, the physical requirements of our bodies have diminished. Unfortunately this leads to stiff, weak and achy bodies. Sitting in a chair all day is extremely damaging to our bodies. We were once very active physical beings, that was able to climb our way to the top of the food chain. We are all athletes. Working on our mobility is part of creating a healthy body. Our programs include mobility drills specifically based on your abilities and needs. Improving your mobility will lead to a more active, energetic life.
Posture & Alignment
Proper postural alignment is critical for the body’s longevity. Poor postural alignment will wear down the spine and joints faster and lead to unnecessary aches and pains. When creating a training program, one must take into account their postural discrepancies. Corrective exercise will improve your posture, which leads to joint and spine longevity, and increased energy levels. That being said, there are many exercises that can promote your postural dysfunctions. That’s why having your posture assessed prior to starting an exercise program is so critical. Choosing the proper stretches and exercises are crucial for the outcome you are looking for. Improve your posture, increase your vitality and longevity.

Sleep
Sleep is when the body repairs itself, which is why your health will pay the price if you’re not getting enough hours each night. We help you put best practices in place to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
Food
Eliminating processed foods, avoiding processed sugars and seed oils, and consuming a whole food diet will dramatically improve your overall health and well-being. We design a nutrition plan to align with your training goals.
Breath
Shallow breathing will negatively affect things like your hormonal system, circulatory system, muscular system, and much more. We help you learn to breathe diaphragmatically so you can reach optimal levels of health and fitness.
Hydration
Proper hydration will positively affect everything from flexibility to digestion, even brain performance. The rule is to drink half of your body weight in fluid ounces daily.
